NEET 2019

NEET Application Form 2019 – The National Testing Agency (NTA) has closed the opportunity of NEET correction window 2019 on January 31. All the registered aspirants who wish to edit the fields in NEET 2019 application form have corrected it using the correction facility. The authority has also provided an official notice on the website stating that the photograph uploaded without name and white background will be accepted for this year. The applications of such aspirants without name and white background will not be rejected. Students whose application form will be accepted by NTA can now download the admit card from April 15, 2019, onwards. The registered candidates are required to login using the NEET UG application number and password to make the corrections in application form. A link for NEET application form 2019 correction window is provided on this page along with the step-wise procedure. NTA has closed the registration process of NEET 2019, while the application fee can be paid till December 8, using credit/debit cards, net banking and SBI E-challan only. NTA will conduct NEET on May 5.

 NTA has, earlier, scheduled the last date to fill the application form as to November 30. However, it was later extended till December 7. The notice regarding the extension of application dates came after the judgement to allow general category students above 25 years of age and reserved & PwD candidates more than 30 years of age to appear for NEET 2019. As for PwD candidates, the guidelines regarding their eligibility has to be checked by them at the MCI website and any corrections can be made when the correction window opens on January 14, 2019. NTA has started sending messages to the registered candidates related to the discrepancy in the uploaded photograph or signature. The correction in the uploaded documents must be done within a week. The NEET 2019 application form was released on November 1, 2018, at 11.30 AM on its new website -ntaneet.nic.in. The mode of release of the application form of NEET 2019 is only online and there is no change in the application fees this year. Candidates were allowed to submit the fee of NEET application form 2019 till December 8 up to 11.50 PM, in case of online payment and till the banking hours in case payment is through SBI E-challan only. 

While filling the NEET 2019 application form, candidates will have to choose four exam centres. NEET aspirants must fulfil the minimum requirements laid down by the conducting body in order to be deemed eligible to fill the application form of NEET 2019. NTA has replaced CBSE as the conducting body of NEET UG. NEET 2019 will be conducted on May 5 in a single shift. The shift timing of NEET 2019 is 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM. NEET 2019 will be held only once a year. The mode of conduct of the exam will be offline only i.e. candidates will be provided OMR sheet wherein they will be asked to submit responses. Only those candidates who will fill successfully submit the NEET application form 2019 will be eligible to take the exam on the said date.

NEET Eligibility Criteria 2019

The regulatory body, NTA, has published the NEET eligibility criteria with the release of NEET 2019 application form. The eligibility criteria are the basic requirements in terms of nationality, age, the academic qualification that the candidates will be required to be considered eligible to fill the NEET application form 2019. Candidates can check below the NEET eligibility criteria 2019-

  • Nationality- Indian citizens, NRIs, PIOs, OCIs and foreign nationals are eligible to appear for NEET 2019. Candidates who wish to study medicine abroad are also required to qualify for NEET.

  • Age Requirement- Candidates must not be less than 17 years of age at the time of admission as on May 5 to fill the NEET application form 2019.  For reserved and PwD category candidates, the minimum age limit is the same. The upper age limit is 30 years to be eligible to register for NEET 2019 has now been removed and candidates can apply subject to the outcome of the judgement at the time of admissions.  It must be noted that candidates filling the application form of NEET 2019 will be required to upload a photo-identity proof which will mention the 'date of birth' of the candidates. Therefore, the date of birth submitted by the candidates must be in accordance with the one mentioned on the ID proof failing which the candidature will be cancelled.

  • Academic Qualification- Aspirants of NEET 2019 must have English, Physics, Biology and Chemistry in Class 12 or equivalent examination. Candidates must score qualifying score in each of these subjects individually and unreserved category candidates should also score a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in aggregate. Reserved category candidates are required to score at least 40% while PwD candidates must score a minimum of 45% for NEET registrations 2019.

  

Step 1 – Registration

Candidates in this step are required to click on the link which has been provided on this page. In order to register, candidates will be required to provide details such as name, email id, and mobile number. Candidates will also be required to create a password as per specifications and then confirm the password. A provisional application number will be displayed. This will be the login ID. Once the registration process is over candidates will have to log in using their login ID and password.

Provisional Application Number of NEET 2019 will be displayed. This must be noted down and will be the login ID for all future logins.

Review of NEET 2019 Application Form: Candidates must review all details before final submission as NTA has not disclosed which all fields that can be changed after the submission of NEET 2019 application form. The application correction window will be open from January 14.

Step 3 – Uploading of scanned documents

After filling out the application details, candidates are required to upload scanned copies of the documents mentioned according to the specifications provided.

Step 4 – Payment of Application Fee

Candidates have paid the fees in online mode through Debit/Credit/ Net Banking or through E-challan of SBI bank by downloading it. For payment through SBI E-challan, candidates must download the same and pay the amount in cash during banking hours before December 8, 2018. The last date to pay the application fee of NEET is December 8, 2018.

Step 5 – Printing out of the Acknowledgement receipt

  • After payment of application fee, a confirmation page will be generated and will also be sent to the registered mobile number and email ID of the candidate.

  • Candidates are advised to take a printout of application form and preserve it for future reference. Generation of confirmation page will be an indicator that the application form of NEET 2019 has been successfully submitted.

NEET Application Form 2019 – Correction Window

NTA has closed the facility of NEET correction window 2019 on January 31. The application form of aspirants who have edited the details will be accepted. The authority has started the facility of NEET application form correction guide 2019 from January 14, to edit the incorrect details in the application form. A link is provided above for NEET 2019 correction window to modify the changes. Aspirants are required to log in using their application number and password created at the time of registration.  Check the procedure to correct the details in NEET application form below.

Steps for NEET correction window 2019

  • Click on the link provided on this page.

  • Enter the application number and password, created at the time of registration.

  • The login page will appear on the screen, click on 'Click here for correction in NEET (UG) 2019 Application Form'

  • The application form of NEET 2019 will be displayed on the screen and candidates can edit any field in it.

  • After completing the modifications, students must click on 'Preview and Submit'

  • Thereafter, an OTP will be sent to the registered mobile number, enter the OTP number and click on 'Final Submit'

  • A warning message will pop-up on the screen, which states that 'This is the one-time correction facility, no correction will be allowed after final submission. Do you wish to submit corrected application form finally?'

  • If the modifications did are correct, then they can click on 'Please do' or else to edit some other fields, click on 'oops no'

  • The correction slip of NEET 2019 application form will display on the screen, which will mention all the fields along with the details corrected by candidates.

NEET aspirants have started receiving the email regarding discrepancies in the uploaded photograph and signature. The correction in the images must be done within a week from the date of the email. In order to modify or upload the correct photograph/signature, candidates must follow the procedure mentioned below.

  • Click on the 'NEET candidate login' link provided on this page

  • Enter the application number and password received at the time of filling the application form

  • Once an aspirant will log in, the application number and option to upload the photograph/signature will be displayed on the screen.

  • Upload the correct image as per the specifications and verify it once before submission.

  • Clicking on the submit button, an OTP number will be sent to the registered email ID and mobile number

  • As soon as the OTP number is entered, the NEET correction slip will be displayed on the screen.

  • A printout must be taken for future references.

The authorities will also provide the candidates with a definite amount of time for the correction window from January 14 to 31 after the NEET 2019 application process is completed. During this time period provided, candidates can make changes to certain information in the application form. The correction window of NEET 2019 application form can also be utilized by the candidates to also make corrections (if required) to the already submitted information. The information submitted through the correction window will then be considered as final for the NEET application form 2019.

Highlights of NEET Exam Pattern 2019

  • NEET 2019 will be conducted for the first time in offline mode i.e. pen and paper mode.

  • The exam will be conducted in a single session on May 5, 2019.

  • All questions will be multiple choice based which implies there will be four options to each question and among those four options, one will be right as deemed by the conducting body.

  • Those candidates who will select any regional languages as medium of question paper will receive the question paper in Hindi, English and selected language while those who will select Hindi as the medium of question paper will receive the question paper in English and Hindi. Candidates who will select English as their medium of language will receive the question paper only in English.

  • One mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. No marks will be awarded or deducted for questions which are left unattempted by candidates.

As per a Supreme Court’s directive, NEET has replaced AIPMT as well as state level medical entrance tests and will now enable admissions to all government, private College

NEET 2017: The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is a single entrance test conducted for admissions to approximately 52,305 MBBS and BDS seats in the country. As per a Supreme Courts directive in 2016, NEET has replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) as well as all state level medical entrance tests and will now enable admission to all government, private and deemed medical and dental colleges/universities across the country. NEET 2017 will be conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in a pen and paper based mode on the first Sunday of May, 2017, tentatively.

Based on the cut off score of NEET, the exam conducting authority will declare a merit list for 15% All India Quota seats. NEET Counselling 2017

The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct NEET Counselling for 15% All India Quota seats, tentatively in the month of June/July, 2017. NEET Counselling 2019 – The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) on behalf of Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will start the NEET 2019 counselling most likely in the second week of June 2019. The counselling of NEET 2019 will be held in online mode i.e. candidates will be required to register online with DGHS as and when the registration process of the NEET 2019 counselling starts. This NEET counselling 2019 will be conducted for the 15% of the total seats of all the government colleges (except for colleges of Jammu and Kashmir state) also known as 15% All India Quota seats, all the seats of Central and Deemed Universities, seats reserved for Wards of Insured Persons (IP quota) in Employees’ State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) medical colleges and seats available at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) Pune. The counselling of NEET 2019 for the remaining 85% State Quota seats of government colleges and all the private colleges will be conducted by the respective state authorities. NEET 2019 counselling will be conducted in two rounds for 15% All India Quota seats while for the Central & Deemed Universities and ESIC colleges, the counselling will be conducted in three rounds. Exercising of Choices and Locking of Choices

In this step, candidates will be required to submit preferences. Candidates must note that admission will be taken on the basis of merit i.e. NEET score and preferences submitting during the counselling process. Therefore, it is suggested to submit preferences as per the NEET score. Candidates will have the list of colleges displayed on the screen and there is no limit to select choices. After adding the choices in the list, candidates can change the sequence by moving them up or down, interchange choices and delete choices. It is advisable to lock the choices because if the admission seekers will not lock their choices then the saved choices will get locked. If there are no saved choices then it will be considered that candidates have not selected any choices and as a result will not be considered at the time of NEET seat allotment.

After each round of counselling, the seat allotment result will be declared. NEET counselling result, released in the form of the seat allotment list and seat allotment letter, will disclose the seat allotted to the candidates. Candidates can check their name, roll no., allotted category, candidates’ category, allotted college, quota and course in the NEET seat allotment list. The seat allotment letter is an important document which needs to be carried at the time of reporting to the allotted college with other mandatory documents.
 

Reporting to the Allotted College

Candidates who will be allotted a seat will be asked to report to the allotted college to complete the admission formalities. While reporting to the allotted college, candidates must submit the original copy of the required documents which can be are listed below-

  • NEET 2019 Admit Card

  • NEET Scorecard or Rank Letter

  • Class 10 certificate and mark sheet (for date of birth)

  • Class 12 certificate and mark sheet

  • ID proof (Aadhar/PAN Card/Driving License/Passport)

  • Eight passport size photographs

  • Provisional Allotment Letter

  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)

  • PwD Certificate (if applicable)

NEET Counselling 2019 - Registration Fee and Forfeiture

All candidates will be asked to pay two kinds of fee at the time of registering for either 15% All India Quota/Central University Quota or Deemed University Quota. A non-refundable registration fee of INR 1,000 will be charged from all Unreserved candidates (INR 500 in case of SC/ST/OBC/PH candidates) intending to participate in All India Quota counselling and Central University counselling. For Deemed Universities, a non-refundable registration fee of INR 5,000 will be charged from all the candidates. Those who wish to participate in both All India Quota and Deemed University counselling will be required to pay the higher non-refundable registration fee of INR 5,000. Apart from this, a refundable registration fee will also be charged. For 15% All India Quota seats and Central University seats, the refundable registration fee will be INR 10,000, while for Deemed Universities, it will be INR 2,00,000 as introduced through a Gazette of India notification published by the Medical Council of India (MCI) on May 18, 2018. As per the notification, certain amendments were made to the Regulations on Graduate Medical Education, 1997 (to be referred as 'Regulations on Graduate Medical Education (Amendment), 2018'). Candidates who wish to leave either of these seats without joining, then their refundable registration fees will be forfeited. In case, they join these seats, their fees will be adjusted against the tuition fee but they will not be allowed to exit or participate in any other counselling process.

NEET State Counselling 2019

The counselling for 85% State Quota seats and the seats of private colleges will be regulated by the state counselling authorities. Since, the colleges of Jammu and Kashmir do not participate in the centralised counselling, therefore, the counselling for all the seats will be conducted by the state counselling body. The list of NEET qualified candidates will be given to the states. Each state will release its own merit list, schedule and application form. The state will also apply the domicile rules as per their policies. 
 

NEET Cutoff 2019

Only those candidates who will be scoring marks equal to or more than the NEET 2019 cutoff will be eligible for the counselling conducted by DGHS and the state authorities. The NEET cutoff 2019 will be revealed with the declaration of the result. Candidates must note that the NEET cutoff will be different for different categories. The mode of release of the NEET 2019 cutoff will be only online.
